Kinross analysts and investors tour Bald Mountain and Round Mountain

Twenty-four analysts and investors visited Bald Mountain and Round Mountain at the end of June to learn more about Kinross’ new Nevada assets from the acquisition deal that closed in January.

Tony Giardini, CFO, Tom Elliott, Senior Vice-President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development, Randy Burggraff, Vice-President and General Manager, Bald Mountain, Dave Hendriks, Vice-President and General Manager, Round Mountain, Paul Tomory, Senior Vice-President, Operations Strategy and Project Development, John Sims, Vice-President, Technical Services, Resources and Reserves, Jeremy Brans, Vice-President, Operations Strategy, and Luke Jalsevac, Director, Business Optimization, were among the Kinross team members who led the tour.

Since acquiring Bald Mountain, developing the mine has been a top priority for Kinross. The analysts and investors had the opportunity to see the site’s upside potential first hand, learn more about the resource conversion opportunities at the Vantage, Saga and Duke deposits and hear more about the current permitting process. The exploration potential at Bald Mountain was also a focus, with members of the site and regional exploration teams highlighting several encouraging targets within the mine site’s significant land package. They even examined drill core from the sites.

At Round Mountain, guests toured the open pit, saw the size and scale of the heap leach pads, and learned about the Phase W expansion scoping study, which will add approximately 2.4 million Au oz. to the inferred mineral resource.

“The tour was a great opportunity to show analysts and investors the upside potential at Bald Mountain and the positive impacts of Phase W at Round Mountain,” said Jennifer Cameron, Senior Manager, Investor Relations. “Nevada is a world-class mining jurisdiction and we were proud to be able to show the quality of our operations with analyst and investors. The feedback from the analysts has been positive – they see a lot of future potential at our Nevada sites and were very impressed by the strength of our operating and technical teams. Thank you to Randy, Dave and the staff at Round Mountain and Bald Mountain for a successful visit.”
